By inspiring compassion and generosity throughout our communities, we strive to ensure that no child living in a shelter is forgotten during the holidays, creating brighter memories and a stronger sense of hope for the future.

Our Mission

Every child deserves the joy and wonder of the holiday season.

For children living in shelters after escaping domestic abuse, the holidays can be filled with uncertainty instead of celebration. Many mothers are focused on rebuilding their lives and simply cannot afford to buy holiday gifts for their children. A single new toy can do more than bring a smile—it can provide comfort, create happy memories, and remind a child that they are valued, cared for, and not alone.

Toy Tea for Children is dedicated to collecting brand-new, non-violent toys for children from newborn to 18 years of age who are living in shelters across Quebec. Through the kindness of our donors, volunteers, sponsors, schools, and community partners, we help ensure that every child receives a special gift during the holiday season.

For more than 35 years, our community has come together to make a lasting difference. Together, we have delivered more than 85,000 brand-new toys, bringing hope and happiness to thousands of children and their families during one of the most difficult times in their lives.

As a registered Canadian charity, Toy Tea for Children is operated entirely by volunteers. We have no paid staff, allowing every donation, every toy, and every act of generosity to have the greatest possible impact on the children we serve.

Together, we can bring hope, restore smiles, and remind every child that the magic of the holidays belongs to them, too.
